![]() Despite this, she has been making content as hikarustation on YouTube since 2015 in which around the same time she joined Twitter and Twitch. Bao's first stream on YouTube was on October 30th, 2020 and November 6th, 2020 on Twitch. On 11 August 2020, she announced that she was verified on Youtube. In her debut, she states that hayamafair designed her to be "free and enthusiastic, like a playful little spirit of the ocean".īao first teased her Live2D model on Twitter on 30 September 2020. In addition, she shows a passion for puns and an attunement to the culture of the internet and her fandom, often conversing with members of her Discord. As a result, she was very lonely and longed for someone to listen to her voice.īao is incredibly kind, giving genuine compliments to others. She had explored all the oceans and lived through many wars. That mentality is what got me so far so quickly.【VTUBER DEBUT】Whale hello there, I'm Bao!īao was born from seafoam and is a long-lived whale deity and to her knowledge, the last of her kind. To me, if it's not practice it's a waste of my time. In aram, normals or any game mode I still only pick champions I want to practice or find value in. Lastly- I have this really weird mentality with League of Legends that I don't recommend. "You're not always the reason you lost every game- BUT you are the reason you didn't win." I tell myself- "Okay *insert challenger one trick of the champion i was playing* would have been able to carry this game. Make sure you weigh the outcome ONLY on yourself not your teammates. If you're unable to then try and find any kind of coaching resources from real pro/challenger players and avoid clickbait. I would recommend some amount of coaching to everyone. I really think having a guiding hand can put you on the right path. League is a very difficult game in the way that It's not hard to see what your mistakes are by yourself, but it's very hard to materialize the right answer without the proper game knowledge. What really skyrocketed my ability was being mentored by Previously C9, Diamond. Taking notes helps a lot when you're trying to concrete ideas in your mind. ![]() I would review my play every game and I would take notes of what I could have done better. (and sometimes not do so well) until I was good enough at what I wanted to learn. So what I would do is simply queue up on a lower ranked smurf so the games were still serious enough and just play. (Say I queue up specifically to learn jungle today and I'm only going to try to path efficiently, or I'm only going to learn some new gank strategies etc). If you go into a game knowing you're playing only to learn (not for LP) you can get a ton of value. We talk a lot about a concept of effective practice- where you go into a situation not just to play a game but for specific purposes. What I did was branch out fairly early in my League career and start playing any and everything- but not just for fun I would be actively playing to practice. Our most recent iteration of training grounds had almost a full roster of gm/challenger coaches though.Īs for myself- that's a great question. Specialist coaches have to be atleast Diamond1+. ![]() Minimum is atleast having been Diamond before to be a team coach. So there are different kinds of coaches within the space- some are very specialist and focus on teaching a single role and some are more general to help kids with mentality. This is really sad considering this is coming from a League player, and you wonder why anyone would want to pursue that community when people like you exist. Don't pretend like you know anything about my skill level lol ![]() Nothing of what you've said has any merit against any of that. You think I purchased my accounts? I was a verified, high elo, streamer for C9 before you even heard of me. I was literally a contracted pro player for C9 BEFORE I became a vtuber! Everyone knew I was good! None of what you say seems to contradict the FACT that I have clips of myself streaming pre-vtuber achieving those ranks, I have PROOF on my accounts of those ranks. This is textbook silver arm chair analyst sir. Secondly, I play midlane a lot because it's the most fun role to play with viewers since you have the most agency of your own experience. I stream what is enjoyable to me, not to pander to your expectations of how seriously you think I should take a viewer game. I have never enjoyed that meta and that's a huge part of why I wanted to get into vtubing instead. Take a look at how league streamers stream and you'll see it's barely talking to anyone outside of their recalls / deaths even then. ![]() If you're going to attempt to compare streaming with 20% focus to playing alone in your room boy do I have news for you. If you've even watched my streams you'll see I play exclusively to talk to chat (1200 people at once+) not to tryhard in the game. ![]()
